Hi, I'm Michelle! I am a published author of a book that is the first ever of its kind: a self-help book for navigating the emotional part of graduating from college that no one prepares graduates for.
My backstory on how I became a published author is that I have spent my entire life writing for self-expression. Ever since I learned how to form sentences on paper, I have been coming up with creative stories. I used to write stories about old people and their adventures in fourth grade, with my most frequented character being "Grandma Dorris" (I have no clue why, but I loved it).
I wrote countless letters to my parents convincing them why I needed a cat, dog, bird, hamster, guinea pig, horse and so much more. I would leave notes for my family members when I wanted to apologize or talk about my emotions, as written word has always been how I best get my point across.
Writing, for me, has always been so much more than just a helpful tool we all need to know how to use to succeed in society. Writing is where my heart unfolds best, where I can think up pieces that seemingly come from the depths of my soul when I’m in a flow state.
It’s where I look back and wonder how I even thought of what I had just written, because it felt like I wrote things I didn’t even know I knew, but I just did.
